Here are a collection of 23 Sunsets around the world, i’ve captured whilst on my travels and at home in London.
All taken on my trusty iPhone…
I have become slightly obsessed with getting a great photo as the sun sets when travelling. Although you probably like to get that photo as the sun sets, wait around for a while, as usually when the sun dips, you see something similar to the photo I caught in Antigua, of what the sky looks like just after, which can sometimes be even prettier than your initial photo.
I’ve found that we somehow always encounter an especially gorgeous sunset after a particularly rainy day, So I always do stick around for that rainbow or sunset I know is likely to appear.
Might be worth grabbing an app from the app store related to Sunsets, so you know what time to stick around, so you aren’t wasting your whole holiday chasing that awesome shot. Your weather app on your phone will probably also give you that information, but a couple I’ve spotted are: Sunrise Sunset Lite and The Sun Rise and Fall.
There are a number of guides online, if you really want to learn what settings your DSLR camera should be on. Almost all will probably tell you to step away from any “automatic” settings, but I’ll definitely be trying a few on my next sunset chase.
