My Fav go to places in Fitzrovia, London

This past year I moved back to working in Central London, specifically that Soho / Fitzrovia area and I’ve genuinely missed it!

We are incredibly spoilt for choice when it comes to good eateries with most of the best world chefs in residence across the city, but also some fab looking bars and other venues in the area and my job revolves around visiting some of the best the area near the office has to offer,  So here are some of my favs at the moment, So Pay ’em a visit darling…

Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals – Newman Street. Try And bag yourself a booking upstairs, they have the cutest selection of cocktails served in quirky cups whilst downstairs brings the botanicals theme to life.

Senor Ceviche – Charlotte Street. A peruvian offering in an intimate setting with some great food and fab service. Try the cabbage! No seriously, amongst many of their lovely dishes, the cabbage is special.

Percy & Founders: Pearson Sq ( off Mortimer Street): A stylish British / European offering with space for dinner, or just for drinks or private dining. Can be quite buzzy in the evenings and feels a bit off the beaten path.

Flesh & Buns – Berners Street: The latest offering from Bone Daddies group and Chef Ross Shonhan. It’s Japanese inspired food with great laid back lounge house music, they’ll serve you steamed buns to fill with your meat or seafood choices. You must try the Korean fried wings and I personally love the Nutella Croissant Tai Yaki.

Charlotte Street Hotel – Charlotte Street ( obviously lol):  A Firmdale hotel and part of the Design hotels group. Once you step in you’ll see why. It’s classically gorgeous whilst being cool and reflective of its city.  Great place to come for breakfast, Afternoon tea or if your lucky enough to stay the night or see something in their screening room, do it!

Westend DJ – Hanway Street: The only place to hire or buy DJ,  Party, Production or the “I have a hobby to be as big as David Guetta” equipment. The staff are hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable. They’ve been in the area for 18 years as WEDJ now, support a local small business!

Hakkasan  – Hanway Place:  Pretty much next door to Westend DJ and opened the same year. They are an incredibly stylish Michelin star cantonese restaurant. Think darkly lit, fabulous food with decadent cocktails. As the night goes on the music gets a little louder and you can’t help but wishing there was a dance floor somewhere. The most consistent fab food I’ve had since they opened.

VIVI – St Giles Square: A new bar / restaurant that has opened up in Centre point serving British food and stunning decor. Great place to come for breakfast, brunch, dinner, afternoon tea or just drinks. The semi – private dining areas are very sexy also! They have a DJ here the latter park of the week too, playing laid back cool vibes.

Wright Brothers – Soho: an offering in the Carnaby area which is for the seafood lover in you! Food & service is superb. Look out for their happy hour on oysters! They also have an outdoor area that backs onto Kingly Court!

Sanderson Hotel, Berners Street. Part of the SBE group with its quirky, stylish inconspicuous rock star vibe. You’ve just got to visit to understand it. From the rooms to the bar to the restaurant. There’s so much to explore but I have to give special mention to the Afternoon Tea, or maybe even try the Tipsy Tea which is equally as great.

Berners Tavern, stunning looking restaurant in Jason Atherton’s family of restaurants.. Just look at that dining room! All the cocktails are based on the paintings that hang in the main room. My colleagues come here for weekly drinks and I couldn’t believe it took me so long to check it out. Don’t wait, Book in.

So what’s your fav place in Fitzrovia Or Soho?

Which place do I haveeee to visit next as I carry on my quest to re – familiarise myself with the area again? or did you have an amazing cocktail / dish at one of these, that I’ll clearly need a very small reason to re-visit?

Let me know!
